North Kitsap Little League teams going to state tournaments | Sports brief

The North Kitsap Little League National team defeated the Bainbridge Island Blue, 6-5, Saturday at the 9- and 10-year-old District 2 championships in Port Orchard. The team qualified for the state Little League tournament with the win. The state tournament begins Saturday, July 17, at Shoreview Park in Shoreline.

The North Kitsap Senior Softball team finished first in District 2 play this season to qualify for the state tournament. They open tournament play Sunday, July 18, at Sunset Park in Auburn.
