Kitsap BlueJackets play preseason game in Poulsbo
The Kitsap BlueJackets baseball team will play a preseason game in Poulsbo at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at Snider Park’s Babe Ruth field. Admission is $5 per person or $10 per car load. Money raised from ticket fees supports North Kitsap Babe Ruth and North Kitsap Little League.
It’s time for sports physicals
The North Kitsap School District will offer physical examinations for all student athletes planning to participate in school sports during the 2010-11 school year. The physicals will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at the North Kitsap High gym. Cost is $30. Funds raised help support the athletic medicine/athletic training program at North Kitsap High. A physical is required of all student athletes, and can be done at this event or by a family physician prior to the beginning of the athlete’s sports season.
Registration opens for NK Pee Wee football and cheerleading
The North Kitsap Pee Wees will hold two open registration sessions at Kingston Middle School for the fall football and cheerleading season. The first session will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6, and the second will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12. Football teams are located in Poulsbo and Kingston. The cheer squad is located in Kingston. Registration forms are available at signup or online at www.kingstonfootball.com or www.nkpeewees.org. The program is open to all kids ages 5-14 as of July 31. NK Little League to host concert at Snider Park
The North Kitsap Little League baseball club will host a concert from 7-9 p.m. June 12 at Snider Park in Poulsbo. The second annual Summer Night at Snider Park will feature the rock and roll and blues music of One Shot Molly. The evening will also include a raffle, featuring items such as baseball and softball equipment, hotel stays and signed sports memorabilia. Kingston High to host girls basketball camp
Kingston High School will host a basketball camp for girls entering grades four through nine from 9 a.m. to noon, June 28-July 2. Cost is $60 per camper and includes a T-shirt. Discounts are available for siblings. Registration forms can be received by emailing email@example.com or picked up at the Sport Haus in Poulsbo.
Kingston High to host track and cross country camps
Kingston High School will host a track and field and cross country camp from 9 a.m. to noon July 26-29 for student athletes entering grades three through eight. Cost is $70 and checks should be made out to KHS Athletic Boosters. Registration forms are available at the athletics homepage on the Kingston High website at www.nkschools.org.
