Kingston eliminated from state baseball tournament

The Kingston High baseball team was eliminated from the Class 2A state baseball tournament Saturday after a 10-2 loss to W.F. West High School in the quarterfinals round at Auburn Mountainview High in Auburn.

The Buccaneers (17-6) finished the 2010 season as one of the top eight teams in the state at the 2A level. They moved into the quarterfinals after beating Sehome High in the first round of the tournament Saturday, 12-11. W.F. West (21-3) will move on to play Archbishop Murphy (21-3) in the state semifinals May 28 at County Stadium in Yakima.
