Port Angeles wins Kingston track meet | Sports updates

The Port Angeles High track team ran away with first place Tuesday at Kingston High School. Kingston placed second at the meet and Klahowya Secondary School took third.

Kingston had several individual first-place finishers.

Marina Roberts took first in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 31.50 seconds. Ruby Roberts was first in the 1,600 meters, with a time of 4:59.90. Ramona Morshead won the 3,200 meters in 12:04.30. Tori Gerken was first in the pole vault, clearing 8 feet even. Alex Rose-Albert won the triple jump with a distance of 30 feet even. The girls 4x200-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams each took first, with times of 1:52.08 and 4:20.08, respectively.

Austin Cherry won the boys 1,600 meters in 4:43.00. Zane Ravenholt placed first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 44.74 seconds. Benjamin Hanson won the shot put with a toss of 44 feet, 2 inches. Joseph Shoemaker won the javelin with a throw of 154 feet, 4 inches.

Kingston’s next meet is today at Olympic High in Silverdale. Competition begins at 3 p.m.
