The North Kitsap Babe Ruth baseball club will host a community gathering April 13 to show support for the possibility of the 13-year-old Babe Ruth World Series coming to Kitsap County. The meeting will take place at 7:15 p.m. April 13 at The Zone Sportsplex in Poulsbo. Robert Faherty, the national commissioner for Babe Ruth baseball, will be present. The gathering is part of a visit Faherty is making to determine whether the 2012 World Series will take place in Kitsap County.

“We do need as many people as possible to show up for this meeting to give (Faherty) the demonstration of support that he is expecting,” said Brent Stenman, co-chairman of the North Kitsap Babe Ruth baseball club.
