Peninsula Baseball League to hold tryouts | Sports brief

The Peninsula Baseball League, a wood bat hardball league open to men ages 18 and up, will hold tryouts at noon on April 11 at the Kitsap Fairgrounds in Silverdale. Prospective players should bring a glove and wood bat to tryouts, along with a check for $150, which will be applied toward a roster fee. The payment will be refunded for players not selected to the team. A total fee of $300 is charged to every player selected for the team and covers field rentals, umpire fees, equipment and insurance. Games will be played on Sundays from June through September. For more information, visit www.peninsulabaseball.org.
