Sports briefs | NK grad Duwe wins golf tourney

North Kitsap High graduate Joey Duwe, a sophomore at Corban College in Salem, Ore., won the Willamette University Invitational at Creekside Golf Club in Salem Monday. Duwe tied for first with Linfield College’s Tyler Nelson, and won the medalist honor in a score card playoff. This is his second win and fourth top five finish for the season. Duwe travels with the team for a conference tournament at Toketee Golf Club next week. Corban athletes compete as part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
