Kingston vs. Eatonville — 7 p.m. Friday at the NK Stadium

Someone will finally have a win after Friday’s football matchup between 0-3 Kingston and winless Eatonville.

“We’re looking at a pretty quality football team,” Kingston Head Coach Dan Novick said of Eatonville. “Their record doesn’t show it, but they’re a pretty formidable opponent.”

The Buccaneers are missing a few starters this week thanks to illness, but hope to improve after last week’s 33-0 loss to Bainbridge Island.

North Kitsap vs. Yelm — 7 p.m. Saturday at the NK Stadium

North Kitsap will have its hands full Saturday against Yelm High School, a team whose linemen average 280 pounds Viking Head Coach Steve Frease said a focus of the game will be stopping the Tornados’ strong running game. North Kitsap lost its last game to Timberline High, 52-6.

“I don’t think we played anywhere near our capabilities on Friday, and this will be a good test,” Frease said.
