Sports update: Vikings remain unbeaten in league soccer

SOCCER

North defeated Port Angeles 4-2 Wednesday to remain unbeaten in league play. First half - 1, NK, Matt Turley, 30th. 2, NK, Ashe Carlson (Marco Lopez), 35th. Second half - 3, PA, Forrest Epstein, 53rd. 4, NK, Lopez (PK), 60th. 5, PA, Tyler Owens, 71st. 6, NK, Nick Tedford, 77th.

Kingston squeaked past Bremerton 1-0 Wednesday. Second half - 1, KHS, Chad Kramer (Brian Bain, Eduardo Castro), 55th.

BASEBALL

North Kitsap defeated Sequim 20-15 Wednesday. Andy Smith picked up the win and had a homer and six RBI for North.

Kingston fell to North Mason 3-2 Wednesday, despite 10 strikeouts from Tyler Sullivan. The Bucs and Vikings are deadlocked in second place in the Olympic League, and face each other at North Monday at 4 p.m.

FASTPITCH

North Kitsap lost Wednesday at Sequim 8-1.

Kingston was shut out 5-0 at North Mason. Lauren Peiguss was given the loss.

GOLF

The North Kitsap boys fell to Port Angeles 94-34.

Port Townsend defeated Kingston 97-39 in boys golf.

On the girls side, Kingston beat Port Townsend 98-24. Elle Sander once again led the Bucs, shooting a 41 for 31 points.

LACROSSE

The North Kitsap boys team fell to Klahowya 17-2, while the girls team lost 18-2 to Snohomish Wednesday.
