Lacrosse umpires' clinic

The Washington Women's Lacrosse Umpires Association (WWLUA) will host a new officials' clinic Feb. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Island Fire Department Conference Room at 8895 Madison Ave. NE.

The clinic consists of classroom training that will cover rules, calls and hand signals.

On-field training will be provided March 8 at Auburn Mountainview High School, located at 28900 124th Ave. SE in Auburn.

The fee for the clinic is $50. Registration information is available online at www.wwlua.org.

Babe Ruth baseball registration

Registration is now open for the 2009 North Kitsap Babe Ruth baseball season.

Players aged 13-15 are welcome.

Cost is $120 before Feb. 27, and $145 after Feb. 27.

Tryouts will be held at Snyder Park on Feb. 28, March 1 and March 7.
