KINGSTON — Kingston's Alex Hernandez had a hand in both goals May 12 to lead the Buccaneers to a 2-0 victory over the Klahowya Eagles.
The evening win puts the Bucs in position to secure the No. 1 seed into the District Playoffs.
Jovi Hernandez scored in the 15th minute of the game, with an assist by Alex, his cousin.
In the 34th minute Alex scored unassisted on a volley 35 yards out. Tied 2-0 at halftime, the Bucs held the Eagles from scoring for the win in the second round of the Olympic League Tournament.
The Bucs face the Sequim Wolves at Buc Field at 7 p.m. in the finals. The teams play for the No. 1 and No. 2 seed to the playoffs.
The Wolves earned their shot at the top seed by defeating the nearly North Kitsap Vikings May 12. The Wolves won 2-1.
The Vikings play the Eagles at 5 p.m. at Buc Field to determine the No. 3 and No. 4 seed into playoffs.
