Boys tennis: NK’s Butler, Cardoso prepare for State

SEATTLE — The boys tennis season resumes Friday, May 24, as the 2A State Tennis Championships get underway.

The North Kitsap doubles team of CJ Butler and Gus Cardoso are the only ones representing the Vikings.

Butler and Cardoso play W.F. West’s Kenny Saari and Daniel Blomdahl in the first round.

The championships are held at the Nordstrom Tennis Center on the University of Washington campus in Seattle.

Sixteen teams will compete in the championships.

No teams from Kingston High School are competing.
