NKHS girls soccer team raises $750 for cancer research

POULSBO — The Vikings girls soccer team's fundraising goal for the Susan G. Komen foundation was met. In fact, the team exceeded its goal by $250.
The Vikings raised a total of $750, under the fundraising name Team Missi. The original goal was $500.
The team's fundraiser peaked Oct. 11 during the Kick Pink game against Port Townsend at North Kitsap Stadium. Wearing their pink gear, the Vikings won 4-0.
The Vikings Susan G. Komen website can be found here. The fundraising "Progress Meter" is not up-to-date.
The Vikings (4-1-0), remain in second place in the Olympic League with 12 points. Klahowya (6-0-0) is currently undefeated with 18.
Olympic (4-2-0) is third. The Kingston Buccaneers are (3-2-0)
The Bucs play their next game at home Oct. 16, against Klahowya. Junior Varsity plays at 5 p.m., Varsity at 6:45 p.m.
The Vikings travel to Bremerton Oct. 16. JV starts at 5 p.m., Varsity at 6;45 p.m.
