Bucs lose in overtime | Soccer

SILVERDALE — The soccer game against Klahowya ended in sudden death overtime with a penalty kick. Kingston coach Craig Smith described it as "one of the toughest ways to lose."

Klahowya's Alijah Hawley sent the game winning shot into Kingston's goal. The penalty kick from Hawley followed a collision between two players as the Kingston player jumped up to head the ball. The game ended 3-2.

Kingston's Nick Boles scored both goals, with assists from Justin Overton and Ansel Hartman.

Kingston hosts Port Townsend Thursday at home. Junior Varsity kicks off at 5 p.m., Varsity at 6:45 p.m.

Scoring

First half — 1, Klah, Austin Sargent, 11th; 2, KHS, Nick Boles (Hartman), 14th; 3, Klah, Matt Danielson (Casey Trask), 24th.

Second half — 4, KHS, Boles (Overton), 54th.

Overtime — 5, Klah, Hawley (Penalty kick), 4-5th.
