Bucs face Anacortes Seahawks Thursday | State basketball

YAKIMA — The Kingston Buccaneers boys basketball team is just a few days from its return to the Hardwood Classic, where the 2A Olympic League champions will play the Anacortes Seahawks to begin the tournament.

The Bucs (22-5) defeated Cedarcrest 74-73 Feb. 24 in the Regional tournament to earn their way to the Hardwood Classic. It was the Bucs' fourth win in a row. The Seahawks ousted River Ridge the same day for a trip to the Hardwood Classic.

The Bucs and Seahawks tipoff at 3:45 p.m. in the Yakima Valley SunDome, 1301 South Fair Ave., Yakima. The winner plays either Pullman or Lynden March 2 at 7:15 p.m. The loser will be dropped to the consolation bracket to play for fourth/sixth place.
