North Kitsap sports medicine students place second at state competition

Sports medicine students from North Kitsap High School placed second at the Washington State Sports Medicine Competition, April 29 and 30 in Spokane.
Of the field of 500 competitors, six NK students placed as individuals. The North Kitsap team was also named Washington State Sports Medicine Academic State Champions, with a cumulative GPA of 3.78.
Students took two, 100-question written tests. An oral test was included if they were on the varsity team. Questions included topics on injuries, anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
