Kingston boys advance to state basketball semifinals

The Kingston boys basketball team is advancing to the semifinals of the state tournament after cruising to a 20-point win Thursday over West Valley.

The Buccaneers will play Squalicum at Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Yakima Valley Sundome.

Kingston blazed past the West Valley Eagles of Spokane Thursday, winning 67-47, buoyed by a 28 point performance by Zane Ravenholt. The victory put Kingston within two wins of a state championship. The team can place no lower than fifth in the tournament.
