Kingston High School Buccaneers take rivalry victory against North Kitsap Vikings

What began as a close game against the North Kitsap Vikings and the Kingston Buccaneers, turned into a blowout.

The Bucs proved they are the Olympic League champions on Tuesday, defeating the Vikings 63-24.

The first quarter was a back-and-fourth battle, with a Buc lead of 14-6. A packed gymnasium kept both teams playing until the end, but the Vikings could not hold up for long.

By the beginning of the second half, the Vikings — without a win this season — had fallen behind.

The Bucs team plays in the sub-district playoffs on Feb. 12.
