Sequim crushes Kingston varsity team | Tennis brief

The Kingston High School varsity tennis team was defeated in all but two matches on Oct. 4 against Sequim High School.

The Bucs' varsity team went down in all three singles matches and two of the doubles, with a final score of 5-2.

These results completely flipped for the junior varsity team, after defeating Sequim in all five JV matches.

Varsity singles:

1st- Mallory Maloney (S) defeated Loren Klemesrud (K) 6-1, 6-0.

2nd- Michael Lee (S) defeated Morgan McCalister (K) 6-0, 6-0.

3rd- Evan Hill (S) defeated Erik Reichert 6-1, 6-2.

Varsity doubles:

1st- Bryon Boots/Waylon Lam (S) defeated Richie Sander/Trevor Shuey 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.

2nd- David Richards/Andrew Gunstone (S) defeated Brady Sundquist/Cody Combs (K) 6-2, 6-0.

3rd- Cody Holt/Josh Herrera (K) defeated Donavan Lee/Duncan Skinner (S) 6-4, 7-5.

4th- Luke Williams/Kyle Hamal (K) defeated Jeremy Huls/Emaanual Herrera (S) 7-5, 7-5.

Junior varsity:

Bryson Foss/Jordan Mick (K) defeated (S) 8-6

Tyler Shuey/Beau Rebedeaux (K) defeated (S) 8-0

Colter Smith/Cody Sweeney (K) defeated (S) 8-0

Bruno Ruiz De Somocurcio/Will Gross (K) defeated (S) 6-2

Michael Evans/Sean McCanna (K) defeated (S) 8-5
