The residents of Kingston are presented with an amazing opportunity as an unincorporated community to have a say in the development and maintenance of their community center. To take advantage of this opportunity the registered voters of Kingston need to vote on the Metropolitan Park District ballot measure in August, along with election of park commissioners.

As a principal of a landscape architecture firm (based in Kingston) who has experience working with community groups on similar projects, this opportunity is significant. Funding is difficult to acquire in the best of times if the project can’t guarantee maintenance and successful operations for the long term. By voting for the MPD and commissioners you will direct your property tax dollars toward services and resources within your community. This is your chance to ensure the success of the new community center services, maintenance and programming.
