The North Kitsap Friends of the Library will hold another book sale Saturday, June 19, at the Poulsbo library. We currently need gently used books, both fiction and nonfiction, for the sale. If you can donate books, please bring them to the front desk of the Poulsbo branch and note that they are for “Friends of the Library book sales.”

You may request a donation slip for tax purposes.

Statistics show that in these difficult economic times, people are visiting their local public libraries more. Each local Friends of the Library group is nonprofit and made of up volunteers who love to read and to use the library system. The Friends raise money through book sales and other events to supplement library programs like the Summer Reading Program and to purchase furniture, equipment, and art work for their local library.

Please consider going through your books and donating those you can share for this worthy endeavor.

Please come to our sale on June 19 and find books you can keep and enjoy.

Judy Kennedy

Secretary, NK Friends of the Library
