As empty nesters we have children and grandchildren who live far away. Thus our family has no students in the North Kitsap School District. Nonetheless, we are voting “yes” for the levy renewal. Investing in public education (particularly during these difficult economic times) is among our highest priorities. It yields years and years of dividends, benefitting not only the students but also to the entire community.
