Katherine Quade should be re-elected because: Poulsbo remains economically viable because of her leadership. 1. Supported the Olhava/College Marketplace development 2. Led and supported the Poulsbo Place I and II development 3. Obtained federal stimulus money to redevelop Viking Ave. 4. Has supported Martha & Mary re-development efforts to remain competitive and in Poulsbo City Hall remains downtown because of her leadership and support 1. Building the new city hall downtown is a key investment to the historic core of Poulsbo in maintaining its economic vitality. 2. Led the way in bringing the Harrison Cancer treatment Center to Poulsbo on the prior City Hall site on 305. Experienced Leader 1.Many years as a council person and mayor during which she has led Poulsbo through major changes to become the leading city in north Kitsap County is the highest recommendation for her to continue as our mayor. Katherine Quade is successfully leading Poulsbo through this recession by making decisions that are and will continue to keep our city financially sound. She understands that every community, it’s businesses and citizens must adapt to changing economic and social conditions to remain successful even though that will bring changes. She has guided crucially needed changes with great skill and with a committment to preserve Poulsbo’s historic charm.
