Inslee should host a town hall session
August 14, 2009 · Updated 3:13 PM
According to his office staff, Congressman Jay Inslee’s August recess schedule is so full that he will not meet with his constituents in a town-hall meeting.
I was informed that Inslee had such a meeting in May. I stated that the voters did not know what was in the Obama-Pelosi health bill at that time. Now that the public has seen the bill, it seems the appropriate time for the congressman to meet with the people who elected him to represent them.
In light of the huge transformation that this bill would make in the United States, Congressman Inslee owes it to his constituents to meet with them in person.
