You can be a part of a ‘fantastic’ team

August 17, 2013 · Updated 2:48 PM

A big “thank you” from — and a “call to service” on behalf of — the Kingston High School football team.

Success to a football team comes only after much hard work and dedication from players, parents, supporters and coaches. The Buccaneer football program has been fortunate to enjoy three consecutive playoff appearances. This success has been in large part due to the efforts of two of our coaches who now are stepping away from the game.

Coach Tim Larson transformed our defensive line while also running our video scouting program and Coach Jon Fehlman was an invaluable member who could be counted on to give his all whenever and wherever he was needed. Thank you, gentlemen! We would not be where we are without your efforts.

Now, our team is faced with the task of filling the void left by these coaches. There are few worthier endeavors than guiding young men through the ups and downs of high school and the game of football. While it is plenty of hard work, the joy and satisfaction that come along with coaching make the effort well worth it.

If you want to play a part in leading a fantastic team of young athletes through what promises to be another series of great seasons, please call the Kingston High School Athletic Office for more information, (360) 394-1207.
