Supports Olsen for state rep

A friend of mine is working to get himself into the state Legislature, 23rd District, and this is my endorsement letter supporting him.

I admire Capt. James Olsen for his extensive experience in the Coast Guard. I count the service of our country highly when considering qualifications for our government representatives. Plus, the bureaucracy that he must have found there gave him a foundation in how to deal with that thing we call the public sector.

I know Jim as a hardworking man who makes his living through his own business that he and Mary built themselves over a long time. They learned a thing or two about what it takes to earn your living in these tough days. They’ve had to work and raise their kids just like the rest of us.

Personally, I want someone in the State House working for me who knows what it’s like to depend on your own hands to make a living, and Jim knows this. When he said he understands duty, honor and country, I know that he does.

Jim will represent us fairly and faithfully. Give him the chance — I am.
