Thanks to you, we’re neat and tidy

I wanted to personally thank all of those who showed up for our work day at Poulsbo Elementary School.

We had 75 people sign in on Aug. 18 to power wash, weed, haul soil, plant, etc. It was a very fun and productive day. It was nice to see families new to our community working side by side with those who have lived in the community for years.

As the new principal at Poulsbo, it was an encouraging day for me personally and professionally. It made me realize that together with this type of positive attitude we can do great things.

A special “thank you” goes out to the members of the Covenant Church, our fabulous PTSA board, school board member Tom Anderson, and Jean and Gordon Parke.

I would also like to thank Linda from Olmsteds for all of the landscaping advice. Our day was scheduled to be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. but many were still here at 4:30. We are looking very neat and tidy because of the hard work of so many volunteers.
