Lots of help for school supplies
September 21, 2012 · Updated 10:54 AM
On behalf of North Kitsap Fishline, I would like to thank all those who helped supply, pack and distribute school supplies to more than 250 children in the North Kitsap School District.
I would especially like to thank the Poulsbo Noon Lions, Seabold Methodist Church, Curves of Poulsbo, St. Olaf’s Church, and all of those persons in the community who donated supplies and backpacks. Thank you to North Point Church for use of their buildings for packing and distribution. Also, thank you to North Point’s youth, as well as the North Kitsap boys tennis team for packing the backpacks. Without the community’s support this program would not be possible.
The smiles on the children’s faces and relief in the parents’ faces show how a caring community can make a difference in others’ lives. It is a joy and blessing to live in such a caring community.
