Supports Olsen for District 23 state rep

August 3, 2012 · Updated 9:56 AM

If you had followed the state’s revenue during the budget years 2001 through 2009, you would be aware of the fact that the state’s revenues increased in each of those years. Despite these increases, the incumbent legislative majority spent even more than these increases. To most of us who pay taxes, that constitutes a spending problem.

Your quote from Henning Larsen reads, “We don’t have a spending problem. We have a revenue problem.” What does he and your editorial staff not get about the fact that if you keep spending much more than you take in, it equals a spending crisis?

Vote for Olsen. A man who has signed the checks for his employees and can balance a checkbook!
