Appreciates story on Navy museums

I’m writing somewhat late but with much gratitude to thank you and Mr. Johnny Walker for the really splendid articles about the museums that Mr. Walker wrote for the April 13-19 issue of Kitsap Week Life and Culture.
Mr. Walker’s writing was informative, interesting and accurate. He did a superb job of interweaving the strands of local naval history with the War of 1812 to present a story that had a great local interest while also celebrating the successes of the U.S. Navy in the War of 1812, which is very distant in time and geography from we here in the Pacific Northwest.
His photography was great, too! The picture of me on the cover was better and more than I deserved. His photos on page 3 are crisp and well-composed, and they capture the spirit of their subjects.
Thanks to Mr. Walker’s articles, we noticed a surge of interest and visitation at both museums with a good number of people calling specifically about the War of 1812.
Please pass my sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Walker for his outstanding journalism and photography.
