Bravo for decision allowing seaplanes

April 20, 2012 · Updated 4:18 PM

Oh, how I love to cruise Liberty Bay on my stand-up paddle board. Of equal enjoyment is to be on the water when a deHavilland Beaver takes off or lands and you listen to the deep-throated barking and coughing and powerful purr from the radial engine. It is simply music to my ears.

Just think, a plane model out of production since the 1950s still makes heads turn. Kenmore Air used to frequently fly over our home on final into Keyport Navy facility. What a treat to wave at the pilot and welcome him back.
