Wants input for schools chief search

March 5, 2012 · Updated 10:54 AM

As a member of the Superintendent Search Committee I would like to extend a challenge to the community and staff of the North Kitsap School District.

I believe the School Board has selected three very qualified individuals as finalist for the Superintendent position.  Now I challenge the community and staff to step up to the plate and participate in the meetings scheduled with the finalist on March 5th, 6th and 7th.

While the Superintendent may report directly to the School Board I believe this individual also represent the vision and values of our community.  It is our responsibility to make sure our opinions are heard during the final selection process.

Don’t let the School Board make this decision on their own and don’t miss out on this opportunity to have input into the future of our communities’ children.
