‘Mr. B’ received quality, compassionate care
January 20, 2012 · Updated 9:45 AM
On behalf of my family, I’d like to express heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care my father, Milt Benson, received at Martha & Mary during his final days.
My mother had been a resident at Martha & Mary from 2003-06, and after she passed away, my father continued volunteering. He drove the bus until he turned 80 (when they took his driver’s license away), but he continued volunteering in other ways, passing out ice cream to residents and staff or performing other volunteer duties. The staff referred to my father as “Mr. B” and they showered him with attention and excellent care, however, I don’t believe my father was treated any differently than the staff treats all residents.
Martha & Mary doctors, nurses, social workers and staff, including their Hospice service, truly provides quality, compassionate care. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for my father to spend his final days.
