Thankful for caring neighbors

January 13, 2012 · Updated 10:05 AM

Every once in a while, I think what good people and businesses we have in the north end of our county.

My wife and I are handicapped and so many people offer to help. Some are older than us and we feel we should be helping them.

I’ve got to praise the service we receive from businesses, such as Henry’s Hardware in Kingston; they seem to have most everything I need and a great friendly staff that can find it for me and give me the information I need to use it.

The other business that comes to mind is Les Schwab Tire in Poulsbo; they give me fast and professional service. Lots of times there is no charge when I expect to pay.

I thank God I live here.
