Oppose the Johnson Creek trail

I am opposed to building a trail along Johnson Creek for the following reasons:

Cutting a swath for a trail along Johnson Creek will do irreparable harm within the environmentally sensitive creek buffer zone by removing and trampling vegetation needed to protect and sustain this salmon-bearing stream.

Encouraging walkers and their pets to use this path will further degrade the creek and its environmentally sensitive buffer areas.

The trail would lack suitable access and safe parking.

I am very much in favor of walking trails for outdoor recreation and the enjoyment of nature; but this particular trail would be a huge mistake.

Such a trail would enhance property values and allow additional density for development of adjoining property; but would benefit a few property owners at the expense of the health of a fragile and already threatened salmon-bearing stream.
