Armory could be great home for farmers market

I am in such disbelief that a 60 space parking lot is better than having a full time farmer’s market. I am one of the vendors there, and there is a great need for the vendors at the Poulsbo Farmer’s Market to have space like this, so they can be there for the community more than just once a week, seven months a year, and closer to downtown. I think 60 vendors will make this armory a lot more money for the community and it’s landlord per year than 60 cars.

The farmer’s market will bring in more customers for the merchants of the city of Poulsbo. I came from the Cowlitz Community Farmer’s Market and their Wednesday market in the city helped the local shops have more business just being in town. I heard also that other communities also do well when they have a farmers market in town, like for example the Pike Street Farmers Market in Seattle. That is visionary to think we could have a place like that in our county. Too bad the only vision we will see is a black top and a 60 car parking lot for those few who park and pay.
