Letters to the Editor

Bravo to Winters

Aaron Winters, House Representative Candidate, 23rd Legislative District, Position 2, should be applauded for his fortitude in stepping forward to run for political office. His distinct insights and life experiences enriched all of the debates, editorial board interviews and forums he attended with me and Ms. Rolfes. Mr. Winters did not miss one appearance or opportunity to speak to the voters. I very much appreciated Mr. Winters’ articulation about the suffocating effects of high taxation and bloated government missions and manning. What we need are more people like Mr. Winters who are willing to act to change our wrong-direction Olympia government.

I encourage Mr. Winters and all candidates who did not make the top-two category to hone their policy analysis and debating skills and immediately begin their next campaign. Also, there is a wealth of experience to be had by helping your political party or cause on other campaigns and issues. I too am a fiscal conservative fully intent on changing the broken ways of Olympia government and I invite Mr. Winters’ voters to join me in retiring career politicians who have brought us this dangerous fiscal mess.
