POULSBO — Melody Sky Eisler, candidate for Poulsbo City Council Position 7, kicks off her campaign with two public events in September.

Eisler is librarian of the Kitsap Regional Library Silverdale branch. She and incumbent Jim Henry are on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.

"I am a proud resident of our beautiful, historic, charming town, and I am running to safeguard and enhance these vital qualities that we all value," Eisler said in a press release. "[On the] City Council, I can bring your voices and address your needs in relation to these important issues. Poulsbo needs energetic, visionary and common-sense leadership."

Eisler will meet with supporters, answer questions from residents and discuss city issues on Sept. 7, 10-11 a.m. at the Poulsbohemian Coffeehouse, 1003 Front St., in downtown Poulsbo.

Eisler's next campaign event is scheduled for Sept. 17, 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the One Ten Lounge, 18881 Front St. NE, in downtown Poulsbo.
