Mountain Aire development taking first steps on Noll Road in Poulsbo
May 13, 2010 · Updated 11:43 AM
POULSBO — Developer Capstone Homes is getting its ducks in a row to move forward with the proposed Mountain Aire development off Noll Road.
The company has filed an application with the city to subdivide its 40-acre property east of the Hostmark Street and Noll Road intersection into 145 lots for detached, single-family homes. Subdivided lots would range in size from 0.09 acres to 0.18 acres.
Two wetlands are located on the property and fish-bearing Lemolo Creek is located 100 feet to the east. A 0.13 acre wetland would be filled for a road and utility corridor as part of the proposal.
The city determined there would be no significant adverse environmental impacts from Capstone Homes' plan and has opened the proposal for public comment.
"It's hard to know everything," Poulsbo Senior Planner Linda Mueller said. "So it's good to have public comment."
Public comments must be submitted in writing by May 22 to City Hall.
