The North Kitsap School District is looking for public input for ideas on how decrease its 2010-11 operating budget by $700,000. The district will not lay off certificated teaching staff this year, and is looking for alternative ideas for saving money. The district will host two public information sessions, during which current ideas for reducing the budget will be presented and public feedback will be requested. The first meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. May 24 at the North Kitsap High School library. The second meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Kingston High School library.
