PORT ORCHARD — A Gordon Elementary paraeducator is in jail for alleged sexual abuse of a minor that investigators believe took place over several months.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Wilson said the man was arrested at his home on Friday for alleged second-degree rape of a child. He is being held at Kitsap County jail on a $35,000 bond.
The victim was not a student at Gordon, but was someone the man knew, Wilson said.
The victim approached sheriff’s deputies, sparking the investigation.
The suspect's name is being withheld because he has not yet been charged.
