The Port Gamble S’Klallam tribe plans to increase the fuel capacity of the Gliding Eagle Marketplace service station by 50 percent this summer.

A project to expand the popular station and store north of Kingston will begin in early April and wrap up by early June, according to a news release from the tribe.

The project will add more fuel stations, bringing the Gliding Eagle’s total stations to 12. The expansion is needed to keep up with demand, according to the release.

A general overhaul of safety and aesthetic features will also be done.

A reopening ceremony will be held when the work is finished.

The Gliding Eagle Marketplace opened in its current location in 2003. It is located at 8000 NE Little Boston Road.
