Firefighters subdued a fire that spread through a waterfront house in Lemolo Wednesday night.

Crews from Poulsbo Fire and North Kitsap Fire and Rescue were called to a single-family home on Tuk Wil La Road at about 8 p.m. Flames were showing in the second story when crews arrived. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze and by 9 p.m. were extinguishing remaining hot spots in the home's attic.

Poulsbo Fire spokeswoman Jody Matson said three residents were displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported.

The blaze appeared to have started in a living room wall near piping for a wood stove Matson said.

The exact cause is still under investigation.
