News brief: Kitsap Transit trims NK routes

North Kitsap bus riders will have a few less options beginning next week.
Kitsap Transit is trimming several trips from routes serving Poulsbo, Suquamish and Kingston as part of a package of budget cuts. The changes take effect Dec. 13.
North Kitsap route reductions include the following trips:
Route 32, Poulsbo/Silverdale: A 6:20 a.m. trip from the Kitsap Mall to Poulsbo and a 6:30 p.m. trip from Poulsbo to the Kitsap Mall will be cut.
Route 90, Poulsbo/Bainbridge: Two Saturday round trips departing from Poulsbo at 9:40 a.m. and 4:55 p.m. will be cut.
Route 91, Kingston/Bainbridge: A 5:50 p.m. trip from the Kingston ferry terminal to George’s Corner will be cut.
Route 92, Poulsbo/Kingston/Suquamish: The 6:25 a.m. and 7:32 a.m. trips from Poulsbo to Kingston will be cut as will the 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. trips from Kingston to Poulsbo. A 5:05 p.m. trip from Kingston to Suquamish will also be eliminated.
