Fight over STDs lands Kingston man in jail
November 23, 2009 · 1:41 PM
A 21-year-old Kingston man was arrested Thursday after an argument with his 17-year-old girlfriend over possibly giving him a sexually transmitted disease.
The girl told the man to leave, fearing he would become violent, the Kitsap County Sheriff's report said, but the man refused because it was raining and didn't want to get wet.
The girl called sheriff's deputies and said the boyfriend had been violent in the past. When deputies arrived at the house on the 6800 block of Fairside Place NW, East Bremerton, the girl said the man had left. But then the girl's grandmother announced to deputies he was hiding in the house. Deputies found him under a bed and placed him under arrest.
Once booked into jail, the man made “at least” 12 phone calls to the girl, and his mother called the girl as well, demanding that she not “press charges.”
The man was booked for investigation of first-degree criminal trespass and for interfering with reporting of domestic violence.
