A Suquamish Elementary School bus carrying students began to sink in some roadside mud Wednesday morning, delaying students but causing no injuries.

According to the district’s transportation department, the bus on the school’s No. 46 route pulled over to the shoulder on Indianola Road to let traffic pass. While stopped, the wheels on the right side of the bus began to sink, causing the left side of the bus to lift off the ground.

No injuries were reported. The students were transferred to another bus, which took them the rest of the way to school.
