A Poulsbo police officer awoke Halloween morning to find that he may have been on the receiving end of a trick.

A Kitsap County sheriff's deputy was dispatched to the Trillium Heights Apartment complex in Silverdale at about 6 a.m.

The Poulsbo officer told the deputy the vehicle had been hit twice by eggs and one of the tires had been slashed, a report said.

He had been on his way to work, but was late because he had to change the tire.

The officer took digital photos of footprints near the car.
