A cloudburst lasting about 20 minutes crossed over Poulsbo about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday dumping very heavy rain and creating pockets of flooding and washouts. The system developed over Hood Canal and passed directly over Poulsbo before dissipating over Puget Sound.

Cars traveling along Caldart Avenue crunched over several inches of gravel that had washed down from the shoulder of Mesford Road near North Kitsap Stadium.

According to the National Weather Service, they are predicting patchy fog and cloudy, with a high near 57 for Thursday morning and rain in the evening with a low around 46. The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration website can be seen at: http://www.noaa.gov
