A sedan collided head-on with a pickup truck on Poulsbo's Front Street Monday morning, temporarily blocking traffic.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Both drivers initially declined medical aid at the scene. The driver of the pickup later complained of back pain and transported for treatment, Poulsbo Fire Department Public Information Officer Jody Matson said.

The sedan was traveling north on Front Street near King Olav Way when it apparently veered into the southbound lane and collided with the pickup.

Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage.

Traffic on Front Street was blocked for about 10 minutes, Matson said.
