The Hansville Store, located at 7532 NE Twin Spits Road, sustained "significant damage" on May 27 after being hit by a vehicle. According to Kitsap County Sheriff's deputy reports, a blue Ford — pieces of which were found at the scene — was apparently traveling northbound on Hansville Road and "failed to negotiate" the curve at Twin Spits Road.

The vehicle hit a power pole and a picnic bench, embedding the bench into the side of the building.

A 21-year-old Hansville man was arrested in connection with the hit and run, and was released on his own recognizance.
